South African valve supplier Allmech has recently added a new automatic swimming pool valve to its range of filter valves. The valve in question is a Runxin valve. According to the company, it is the only authorized South African representative for Runxin valves.
Runxin valves are a type of water filtration valve that are often used in water treatment systems. They are particularly in demand in systems that require automatic control of the water flow direction and water pressure. Areas of application for the filter valves are for example, in reverse osmosis systems, water softening or in swimming pools.
Anelia Hough, consultant at Allmech, emphasizes that standard swimming pool filter valves are usually manual. She says this automatic valve is a more efficient, convenient and reliable option. It makes it easier to manage filtration systems, especially for large pools.
Less dependency
Automatic valves carry out the backwash without human intervention. This saves the pool owner time and effort.
“The backwash is activated by pressure differences or time parameters,” explains Hough. “When the system reaches a certain pressure or time, the backwash starts automatically.”
She adds that the function can be set to change regularly for maintenance. This eliminates internal contamination and reduces costs. In addition to convenience and time savings, the special fittings ensure precision and consistency. Human error or forgetfulness is not a factor here.
Filter valves compatible with various filter materials
“The Runxin filter valve for swimming pools offers six functions: Filter, backwash, quick rinse, waste, recirculation and closed,” she says. ”It is suitable for a wide range of pool sizes, including community pools, gymnasium pools, thermal pools, water parks, resorts and landscape pools with a water temperature range of 5-50℃.”
Efficient operation of the pool’s filtration system can lead to lower energy consumption and potentially lower maintenance costs over time.
Runxin’s digital automatic backwash valve head is compatible with various filter materials, including filter sand and glass filter media known as Ultra Clear or AFM. This is a glass-based filter material used to remove sediment, dirt, rust and other large particles.
“The compact size of the Runxin filter valve for swimming pools allows it to be combined with a sand tank to create a portable filtration device that is easily accessible and eliminates the need for costly equipment room construction and maintenance,” says Hough.
“By adjusting the valves in a timely and accurate manner, automatic valves also contribute to better water quality and proper filtration, which in turn contributes to a cleaner pool.”
