Likewise, with 4.4 TWh in the cold and snowy month of January, the largest gas volume of all German LNG terminals was once again fed into the German gas grid via the Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee”. As in all four months of the current heating season, Deutsche ReGas therefore made the largest contribution of all German LNG terminals to security of supply in January 2026.
Ingo Wagner, CEO of Deutsche ReGas: “Every day this winter, Deutsche ReGas is delivering gas for a reliable heat supply in Germany. For the fourth month in a row, we are operating what is by far the highest-performing LNG terminal in Germany. We deliver this performance without state support, and are a cornerstone of the energy supply in the east of the republic, as well as for all of Germany.”
LNG terminal in Mukran and Lubmin
In the industrial port of Mukran, Deutsche ReGas operates the Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee.” This Energie- Terminal, along with the previously completed LNG terminal in Lubmin, are the first and only privately financed floating liquefied natural gas terminals in Germany.
In addition, Deutsche ReGas is planning the construction of hydrogen electrolyzers and solutions for hydrogen derivatives.
