Date: 30. May. 2020

Following the successful installation of SIPOS 5 actuators as part of a modernisation programme at unit 4 of the Khoms Power Station in Libya in 2007, the company has received an order for an additional 284 valve control devices.
The latest contract has been placed by Babcock Power Systems for the supply of new actuators at the Khoms plant to units one and two. SIPOS’ advanced actuators will replace Siemens legacy products which were installed in the 1970s. As part of the plant upgrade, Siemens will supply a new DCS control system. GECOL, the owner of the station, is the state-owned power utility responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of electric power throughout Libya.   On-site support and service will be provided by SIPOS’ local agent. www.sipos.de
