SIPOS’ advanced actuators will replace Siemens legacy products which were installed in the 1970s. As part of the plant upgrade, Siemens will supply a new DCS control system.
GECOL, the owner of the station, is the state-owned power utility responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of electric power throughout Libya. On-site support and service will be provided by SIPOS’ local agent.

Following the successful installation of SIPOS 5 actuators as part of a modernisation programme at unit 4 of the Khoms Power Station in Libya in 2007, the company has received an order for an additional 284 valve control devices.
