Tülin Bozkurt Bulut, the Director of IWE Istanbul Water Expo, the first and only exhibition focusing on water and wastewater technologies industry in Turkey: “We’ll be organizing IWE Istanbul Water Expo, the first and only specialized trade event of the sector for the second time between 1 – 3 September 2016. By bringing together, the latest technologies and novelties of the sector, we offer a major platform for the exhibiting companies and visitors alike. This year, alongside exhibition, we’ll be holding a conference called “Smart Water Solutions” and we believe that with this conference, we will be contributing to the efforts for growth and globalization of the sector, and increase public awareness regarding water use in our country where water resources are limited.”

According to European Union Environmental Compliance Strategy Report, initial investment and renovation costs for drinking water treatment facilities and networks will be 23,6 billion TL between 2007 and 2023 and 3 times the initial investment costs will be required for renovation projects. Bulut, said the following about this issue, “Due to rapid increase in population and careless water consumption in our country, and global warming, we are depleting our water resources rapidly. Investments in water and wastewater facilities should be made faster in order to ensure a clean and sustainable life.”
