Jennie Borgström has been appointed the new Managing Director of Alfa Laval Mid Europe, the Hamburg headquarters of the Swedish technology group Alfa Laval, and will be responsible for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. She succeeds Sven Schreiber, who has taken on the role of President for the Marine Division “Water, Wind, and Fuels” within Alfa Laval.
The Swedish national Jennie Borgström brings a strong industrial background to her new role. She began her career at Alfa Laval in 2001 and has since held several leadership positions: Most recently, she was Cluster President for Southeast Asia and Oceania as well as Managing Director of Alfa Laval South East Asia and previously – from 2017 to 2020 – President of the “Food Heat Transfer” business unit.
Energy efficiency and heat recovery with fewer emissions
Alfa Laval Mid Europe is one of over 100 sales companies worldwide, and the DACH region is an important market for the Swedish group listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. With components and new technologies for the areas of heat transfer, separation, and fluid handling, Alfa Laval positions itself globally for a transition of the industry towards better energy efficiency and heat recovery with fewer emissions, better water treatment, and new forms of nutrition.
Jennie Borgström, who will initially take on the management for one year, says:
“Germany’s industry faces mighty challenges: reducing costs, acting sustainably, and innovating. With our technologies for various industries in the areas of energy, marine, food, water, and pharmaceuticals, we offer concrete solutions to make industrial processes more efficient, sustainable, and cost-conscious.”
