Control Valves

Mokveld Valves has signed a long-term framework agreement with Gasunie for the supply of control valves for the hydrogen transfer stations

This agreement is part of the plans of Hynetwork (a 100% subsidiary of Gasunie) to develop a country wide hydrogen network in the Netherlands. In the development of the network, existing pipelines will be used for the most part to transport hydrogen. At locations where the existing network is not suitable or is not available in time, new pipelines will be laid. The network will connect five industrial clusters to each other, to other countries and to hydrogen storage and import locations.

Hynetwork plays an important role in the European energy transition, in which hydrogen has become a crucial source of renewable energy.

Control Valves : Safety, efficiency and environmental friendliness

The European tender for this project set strict requirements in terms of quality, corporate social responsibility (CSR / ESG), and price. Mokveld was selected for its strong focus on both technical quality and sustainability, and its ability to provide innovative solutions for the energy sector. The control valves will play an essential role in safely and efficiently regulating the flow of hydrogen to bulk consumers.

Mokveld’s axial control valves are characterised by their one-piece body design, streamlined flow path and high capacity. Accurate control due to pressure balanced trim and full surround flow allows the use of energy efficient electric actuators.

The innovative nature of this control valve supports the sustainability of the products and is in line with Mokveld’s vision to develop and produce valves that contribute to safety, efficiency and environmental friendliness in the energy sector. Gasunie’s choice of the electrically actuated control valves underlines the value of this mission.
